Fannie Lou Hamer’s America

Fannie Lou Hamer’s America / Find Your Voice is a multimodal project designed to honor civil rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer. The project includes a K-12 curriculum, a youth filmmaker’s workshop, a virtual tour of related sites in the Mississippi Delta, a children’s book, and an animated cartoon. A feature-length documentary, Fannie Lou Hamer’s America, is currently being screened nationwide.

Emmett Till Memory Project

Developed in collaboration with a team of scholars, the Emmett Till Memory Project is a website and mobile app designed to commemorate the death and memory of Emmett Till. Focusing on 17 of the most vandalized sites in the delta, the app provides expert-vetted narratives, access to relevant archival documents, and a collection of historic and contemporary photographs.

Restoration and Reconciliation

In partnership with the Emmett Till Interpretive Center and funded through a grant by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, a series of videos were created documenting the restoration and reconciliation work being done in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. The videos highlight the restoration of the Tallahatchie Courthouse, the anniversary of the apology to Emmett Till’s family, and student workshops.
